At the show, the Lexus Hybrid Drive corner showcases the three Lexus hybrid models sold in the Chinese market, the SUV RX450h, GS450h and LS600hL. The display of the RX450 Cut-body allows visitors an up-close view of Lexus' environmental protection concepts and technological charm provided by the advanced hybrid technology. Lexus plans to present more hybrid models to further protect and improve the environment in the near future.


Innovative Technologies Create a Masterpiece
The prototype unit of the LFA, the LF-A race car is equipped with an all-new 4.8L high-revving V10 engine that has a power output of up to 367kW.The LF-A race car No. 14, which is showcased at Auto China 2010, was personally raced by Toyota president Mr. Akio Toyoda at Nürburgring. Since it was first test-driven at Nürburgring in 2004, the car has tackled the world's most challenging race track many times. When still in R&D, the car achieved the excellent record of 7'24"/loop, which indicates its exceptional driving performance and unmatched reliability.

The mass production model of LFA has a maximum power of 412kW and can rev to wailing 9,000 RPM redline. The LFA is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and its top speed can reach 325 km/h. In addition, with over 500 patents, the LFA's many cutting-edge technologies have demonstrated the everlasting self-challenging spirit and innovativeness of Lexus. The Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), developed independently by the Lexus R&D team, has enabled lightweight and superior body rigidity. The latest use of CFRP has not only resulted in a body strength that is four-times that of aluminum, but also effectively lowers the car's body weight, which allows for the exceptional performance of LFA. The brake discs on the LFA, made from Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) material, deliver an exceptional fade-free braking performance, longer lifespan and further reduce the car's weight. The optimal front-to-rear weight distribution, high strength aluminum alloy racecar style suspension with the wonderful aerodynamic design fully demonstrate perfect control sensitivity, while fully incorporating the L-finesse philosophy- "Incisive Simplicity", "Intriguing Elegance" and "Seamless Anticipation". People-oriented, Premium Intelligent Services
