Lexus China Champions Draws to Perfect Close

[May 20, 2010, Beijing] The 2010 Lexus China Champions golf tournament draws to a perfect close on 18th May, 2010 at the Luxehills International Country Club in Chengdu, Sichuan. At the end of the nationwide series of tournaments, six Lexus owners and invited guests walked away with the champions, first and second runners-up trophies respectively. Amongst these winners, four Lexus owners from Shenzhen Daxing Lexus, Beijing Huayuanqiao Lexus, Shenzhen LoongWah Lexus and Changzhou Alfa Lexus will also be invited to the 2010 British Open in mid-July at St Andrews, Scotland, where they will be treated to a spectacle right where the well-loved sport first originated.

This year marks the fifth consecutive year that Lexus has held the nationwide golf tournament. Beginning from January, all 45 Lexus authorized dealerships from across the nation have conducted their respective tournaments in each city, and saw a total of more than 2,500 car owners and invited guests take part.

Executive Vice President, Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co. Ltd., Mr. Shoju Nozaki said during his speech, "Lexus is indeed delighted to see more Lexus owners and invited guests taking part in this year's Lexus China Champions tournament. As the organizer, we hope that through such an opportunity and platform, we can engage in more interaction with Lexus owners and share a healthy and active lifestyle together. This echoes exactly what we advocates at Lexus, and that is an active and sustainable motoring culture and lifestyle."

During the course of this year's tournaments, Lexus China had once again urged Lexus car owners and invited guests to actively chip in their efforts for charity toward the earthquake-stricken Yushu, Qinghai. Under overwhelming response from all Lexus owners and invited guests, the tournament managed to raise an amount of RMB 32,636. Lexus China will match the exact same amount in donation, and the grand total amount of RMB 65,272 will be handed over to Qinghai branch of the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) at the end of May, and will be used toward the rebuilding of earthquake-hit areas in Yushu, Qinghai. Overall in-charge for Lexus China operations, Mr. Godfrey Tsang remarked, "Love for humanity and responsibility are the infallible foundations for the progress and development of a society. We hope that with the concerted efforts of Lexus owners from across the nation and Lexus China, we can contribute our small part for the less fortunate."

The successful conclusion of the 2010 Lexus China Champions golf tournament has once again shown that as one of the world's leading premium car brands, Lexus not only provides the best products for its customers, it is at the same time continuously striving to provide quality service beyond customers' expectations. Lexus looks forward to next year's tournament, and hope more Lexus owners and guests will actively participate in this elegant and emotionally charged annual affair, and join hands together in enjoying the perfect life.
